SoftWave Therapy in Bellevue, NE
Behm Muscle & Joint Clinic offers SoftWave TRT (Tissue Regenerative Technology) as a non-invasive treatment option for patients with persistent musculoskeletal pain and soft-tissue injuries. SoftWave therapy uses acoustic waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, support tissue repair, and improve function.
Our clinic provides SoftWave therapy to patients throughout Bellevue and the surrounding Greater Omaha area.
What Is SoftWave TRT?
SoftWave TRT is a non-invasive extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) that uses broad-focused electrohydraulic acoustic waves to stimulate a biological response within injured tissue.
Unlike radial pressure-wave devices or focused shockwave therapy, SoftWave therapy uses patented electrohydraulic technology to deliver true shockwaves across a broad and deep treatment area. The mechanical energy generated by these waves can stimulate cellular activity, modulate inflammation, activate resident stem cells, and support the body's natural healing response.
SoftWave therapy is FDA cleared for activation of connective tissue, temporary improvement in blood supply and pain reduction, among other indications.

How Does SoftWave TRT Work?
When SoftWave's acoustic waves enter an injured area, they create mechanical forces within the tissue. Through a process called mechanotransduction, these mechanical forces are converted into cellular signals that can initiate biological processes involved in healing.
This response can help increase blood supply, modulate inflammation, stimulate cellular activity and support tissue repair.
Soft Wave Therapy Process
The following is a high-level overview of the soft wave therapy process. If you have any questions or concerns regarding soft wave therapy, feel free to contact us.
-
Acoustic Wave Delivery – The SoftWave applicator delivers broad-focused electrohydraulic acoustic waves into the targeted tissue.
-
Mechanotransduction – The mechanical energy from the acoustic waves interact with the tissue and is converted into cellular signals.
-
Cellular Signaling – These signals activate transcription factors, which turn on specific genes and stimulate the body’s natural healing response.
-
Tissue Repair and Remodeling – The result is increased blood supply, tissue remodeling, and regeneration, decreased inflammation, and support for the body’s natural ability to repair and heal.
Benefits of SoftWave Therapy
Soft wave therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate biological processes used in tissue repair. Depending on the condition being treated, potential benefits may include:

What to Expect During SoftWave Treatment
SoftWave TRT is a non-invasive treatment that does not require injections or anesthesia. A small amount of gel is applied to the treatment area, and a handheld applicator delivers acoustic waves into the targeted tissue.
During treatment, patients may feel a tapping or pulsing sensation as the provider evaluates and treats the affected area. Sessions are typically brief, and most patients can resume their normal daily activities immediately afterward
